Peer Review Policy
The International Journal of Artificial Intelligence Applications (IJAIA) applies a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and academic integrity of all published articles.
Review Type
All submitted manuscripts undergo double-blind peer review, in which the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.
Review Process
-
Upon submission, manuscripts are initially screened by the Editor-in-Chief or an assigned Handling Editor to assess scope relevance, originality, and basic quality requirements.
-
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers in the relevant field.
-
Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on originality, methodological rigor, clarity, contribution to the field, and ethical standards.
-
Based on reviewers’ reports, the editor makes one of the following decisions:
-
Accept
-
Minor revisions
-
Major revisions
-
Reject
-
-
Authors are required to address reviewers’ comments before a final decision is made.
Editorial Decision Responsibility
The Editor-in-Chief holds final responsibility for editorial decisions. Editorial decisions are based solely on academic merit, relevance to the journal’s scope, and reviewers’ recommendations.
Reviewer Selection
Reviewers are selected based on their expertise, publication record, and experience in the manuscript’s subject area. Reviewers must declare any conflict of interest before accepting a review assignment.
Ethics and Confidentiality
All submitted manuscripts and reviewer reports are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are required to evaluate manuscripts objectively and to maintain confidentiality throughout the review process.
